PhD Student and RA

Flo is a PhD student and graduate research assistant in the Department of Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences at NC State University, with a Fellowship from MEAS. Working with Dr. Eric Wade at NC State and Dr. Linda D’Anna at East Carolina University, his doctoral research
examines the social dimensions of marine renewable energy, particularly wave, tidal, and ocean-current technologies. His interests include stakeholder engagement, community perceptions, ethnographic research, environmental justice, and the distribution of risks and benefits associated with emerging energy projects.
